Projects I Just Bought a Hot Rod Model A Roadster That Was Built In 1959...

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by cactus1, Jun 7, 2017.

  1. ...and it has been in storage for 52 years!

Perusing Craigslist on a Thursday evening a couple of weeks ago (as I usually do every evening) I searched "hot rod", as I have for years, hoping to find an old survivor. The thumbnail photo for the ad was this...
    IMG_2494.JPG

I could not believe my eyes when I clicked on the ad. This car, built in '59-'60 was being sold by the original builder who felt like it was time to let go of the old girl.

    Sorry, lunch is over.

    To be continued....

All I find on craigslist are beat up wore out 80's cars and imports.

When you get done driving the wheels off your new find share up some pics and info.

  13. I know a little about it via another party that was interested in it.

If I remember correctly it has been in the garage since 1962 or so.

Funny, as soon as I saw the title to your thread I figured it was this car.

Very nice! I went to buy one and ended up buying a 31 coupe also. Get it on the road and enjoy!

  21. Shut UP! Wow, you finally got a little piece of hot rod history. And it's not some ugly POS either! Great score. Paint kinda looks like 66-67 chevy Marina blue. Is that frame 3" pipe?

lucky... you bet your sweet bippy...
seeing that it has a roll bar and doesn't have upper stations, I'll bet this baby was a beast at the strip...
looks like it even has a rocket in its pocket.
