@Pufff you da man.... What a great bunch of eye candy that goes. Looks to be a event not to miss. Thanks for your very trained eye. How was racing with no controller... Congrats to the bride and groom...
Hey Pufff....... Thank you very much for the information and the pictures!!! Thanks for providing coverage of some of the cars of the event!!! You done good!!!! As always......we'll take more!!!! Thanks again!!!
Puff, Ditto from me!! For a guy who works an "old Digital" you sure make the most of it!! Great eye for subject composition, very good focus, and really nice stuff. All in all, very impressive. Bill
Thanks! Great photos and a great event here in Colorado. This should be an answer to the post regarding the "traditional fad" being dead. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Thanks Pufff, great coverage. It is so great since I couldn't be there to enjoy the event in person. The really like this early morning shot of the Model A and the T modified getting tuned. I'm biased though since they are my nephews rides.
Pufft. See you at the next Colorado Hot Rod hill climb. Hope there even more great cars there in September Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
what great coverage!!! Thank you for taking such great photos and all the time to post them. It is something I really want to make it out to and it wasn't in the cards this year, But the Hot Rod Hill climb IS in the cards so I will me making the trek out in September. Thanks again for sharing all these great pics!!
Thanks Puff for all the great photos of this supper event.....Sure wish I could have made it this year.
WOW, Pufff. Fantastic work, thank YOU! Much like my hi school days in Durango, we would drive our cars to Grand Junction for drags all summer late fifties and sixties....sure makes us wonder, could any of those be our old iron?! My chopped/channeled 32 3 window was abandoned in central CO in mid sixties, traded in on 8 new tires, parked and forgotten.
Seeing as I'm here in Indiana, I have no idea where and when the Monte Vista takes place. Also when or where the Hot Rod Hill Climb is. Sooner, rather than later, I want to make a trek to Colorado. How about a schedule and maybe a criteria for going to and maybe even signing up for some of the events. Bill
^^^^ Hello Bill ^^^^^ The following links should provide the information you're after. https://hotrodhillclimb.com/ https://hotroddirtdrags.com/ You'll have to see when they schedule the HR Dirt Drags for 2018, been in early June last 2 years. Still time for you to register/attend/visit the HR Hill Climb in mid-September in Central City, historic mining town, (mostly a casino town now), in the mountains west of Denver.
Shoffner fer sure....Olds ran good, and a flattie with Latham Blow was in the low tens at 140 good enough for low et some days. Our guys did very well, the Cochran boys, Fred Rector, Scotty Barenschot all fast. I ran a BSA one time and lucky could not get my 3 window deuce up there (I was 16-17-18) with 331 hemi it would go, but ....even back then no way could get thru tech, looked good, built bad. See you there next year, and maybe Hill too, I got there in 2014, what a hoot. Thanx for reply.
Pufff, thanks for the great pics, I came up with Ron Cooper and his 314 car - in fact that's me standing next to it in the picture. What a great event - and I got to drive.
