RedFlame.......I've always had a personal problem "doing stupid stuff with things that go fast". I don't know how many lives you have but you sure have had some cool cars. You need to hang around a little longer..........I like seeing your work (but not the wrecks) and would like to meet you some day!

All you '50 88 wagon owners please look on your Fisher body cowl tag for the style number. The two I owned, and the few others I've seen have a 6 cylinder body tags, I.E 50 - 3562 . Does anyone have a 50 - 3762 cowl tagged wagon ?
I have two 50 Olds 88 parts wagons with 3562 tags but with V-8 engines so I don't think the 3762 indication is always correct as a 6. Possibly it is for the Deluxe model which is very rare. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I have extra parts but not a gas tank. My fabricator that made my wagon body fit the Morrison chassis also made a custom tank for me and he just fabricated a stock wagon tank for a friend. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Would definitely be interested in talking to him about a tank if possible. The Deluxe model wagon u speak about, would the body tag have SPC. markings.
The serial # of a 1950 88 wagon (V8) would start with 508****, a 76 wagon (6) would start with 506**** the cowl tag could be 3562 for both. Not sure about the 3762 even though it is printed in the archives. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Interesting, and also well written story. Red has led a charmed life, surviving two VERY serious accidents (and THAT'S just the ones he's mentioned). I really like the fact that he was able to reuse the engine/trans set ups to run another day!! A lot of guys would have just called it a day and just said "I'm done". I do hope Red will keep us posted on his "Tin Olds Woodie" project. Bill
Roll CAGE might be more 'appropo'...Third time would 'charm' me at this point! You know, about the wine: Tommy Hrones ("The Greek") always drank wine whilst applying his 'fineline'... Sometimes he had a gallon of it around, other times he demanded it from the paying customer. Always with the wine... Tommy was older than Kenny ("Dutch") so I wonder if the 'eccentricity' was like, 'adopted' by the younger Von Dutch...
Locally around here was a striper/ sign painter Dee-Jay (R.I.P.) that did that as well, the more wine he had the more lines or signage you got and the better it was!
