Technical 52 henry j instrument cluster

Need to change stock 6 volt gas gauge to work on 12 volt system. How do you remove the stock instrument cluster? Or, is there another place in the wiring that this can be done?

 

You can buy a voltage reducer from any ford supplier as ford used 6volt gauges into the 70's. You will have to reverse the wires as HJ's are pos ground. The dash is held in with nuts from the back if my memory is correct.

 

Thanks for your help. Getting the gauge cluster out was my major concern. The j is no longer stock. 58 392 hemi etc.
