Until NHRA starts noticing the little guy like IHRA has, I don't care if I ever race a NHRA event. By the time you pay for everything they require it's crazy. They need to look in the stands when a SEG race is going on, and that doesn't count all the people that come with the SEG racers. You all just keep getting bigger!

  6. Yeah all the way to D/G finals! Lots of pent up Canadian in that seat! Good job brother!

Great weekend - real hot - but didn't rain - I'll take it! Tombo took a bunch a photos - probably a separate thread on those. These were taken by my long time buddy in SoCal - early 1980's buddy - he came out to shoot this race. We also met guys from Auz, UK and Sweden - great guys - wish I could talk like they do.

Almost has to be an exhaust valve stem seal. No plug fouling and runs good.... Has to be.

Great show! Enjoyed the southern hospitality!
My bet is on an oil control ring problem. Just fits the symptoms well.

That Henry was running great all weekend! Great outing after a long trip!

  14. The real irony here is that Higgy pulls into the pits while D/G is going to the lanes. I ask him if he needs gas - he says I filled up about 5 passes ago o_O ok  he runs off to the starting line. I then proceed to run out of gas half track on that run :D Damn it all.

The ol Henry runs good like it is - don't mess with it. Good talking to you HangemHigh!

And a pic of just fooling around because

  16. Yeah @jim snow we'll look you up! Might make it a vacation!

Looking at this more - wonder if the rear panhard is not so hard, or the body is moving ?

Pleasure to speak with you too Tony! Looking forward to the next one!
Wish I'd have brought the camera. The slo-mo function is great for seeing all that goes on during a run.

  26. Well looks like too much valve train oil isn't the issue. :(

I know this don't help.....but that was one bad ass video.
Can you get a bore scope and look up the header pipes on that side and see if you can tell witch cylinder is pumping oil?

  28. like I posted before I would have the head off of that side along with the piston from the cylinder involved. the combustion chamber of the bad cylinder will show signs of a lot of oil going through it along with the exhaust port. my money is still riding on a improperly installed oil control ring. let us know what you find.

If I remember correctly, he's had that header off and all the exhaust ports felt "oil sticky". The odds of all the pistons on one side having oil ring problems is beyond coincidental. But, sometimes you just have to keep digging until the problem is found even if the hole gets real deep.
