  5. I'm back to work on my Fordor getting the fenders and boards fitted and mounted before I get them painted. I have to finish up installing the air conditioning and a bunch of other small things that are left to do. I have already swapped the turbo 350 trans for an 200R4 overdrive and had new exhaust and mufflers installed.

This summer after I cut out and replaced the entire cobbled up floor with all new sheet metal, I got the interior finished. I modified Chrysler minivan seats to look more like the originals. I narrowed the rear seat and then extended the backs higher on both seats. Then I also rolled and welded some 14 gauge "wings" to the sides of the backs of both seats to look like the stock seats and to fit the body better. I was looking for an original appearance and Jim "The Upholstery Guy" did a great job covering everything in brown leather and vinyl with brown square weave carpet on the floor. Jim used to do the interiors on Gulfstream jets before opening his own shop.

Sold the Vicky project, so back to work on the B400. Doesn't the firewall look great, it's an Absolute sheet metal product. 20170520_095558.jpg

  12. I'm just getting the sedan roadworthy after building it this winter. In a week or so, it will be on the road for the first time since 1958.

My roadster project will be coming home to finish off soon.
Henry at Steadfast did the chassis and Flop is doing the sheet metal work.
    I'll take it from there.

First 32', always wanted one from early on, built many AMT 32 coupe models, watched the old flatheads race at Reading Fairgrounds, Bobby Abel was my hero and he had a 5 window coupe.

How did I miss this thread?!?!!? Could have been stealing ideas from several of the cars I see on here.

Mine's going together for the final time. Once it's sorted out it will get paint on the hood, grille shell and main body. Everything else is painted. Hoping to be driving it in a couple weeks. Working on wiring now and a few little details. It's all been together once.

I am still working on my 3W. It has really slowed down when I hit the body work phase!
I suck at body work ! I had a build thread going but it was getting boring so I stopped posting until I finish body work. This trunk lid is going to be the death of me. The gaps are really good.

    C046EA6B-124F-4E2B-A94B-97DD923981E2.jpeg
But the height is off. See the low spot under the ruler.

    4BBF2A2F-19C3-455D-BCE8-F35CF6CA013E.jpeg

So I welded a rod on the edge
    2911B5CB-A593-4071-A5D4-745CD8C7562A.jpeg
Filled in a little weld and grind.

I will need more bondo than I wanted but at least I have a strong edge. Then I took the trunk lid off and when I put it back on it was totally different height. It changes too much and hinges are tight. See what I mean my thread was getting boring....who wants to listen to me complain at how I struggle with body work?

On a positive note I have one door in good shape.

    Hood tops are done.

Steering wheel is painted. Wait ...wait ...wrong car.... that was for grandson,s pedal car never mind.

I thought dash was done until I realized I forgot the glove box door.

Great to see this thread make a come back!

@Chief 64 , well that certainly wasn’t a boring post. I think you could have kept updating your thread.
    Nice work!
