Exactly! And by the time you find someone out of their mind enough to trade a 3 window for a sedan you could have yours on the road.

The seller in Salt Lake City had a 3 window door that needed a skin,so we offered up the door to the sedan to see profile differences, interesting to see how the profile falls away at the top of the door ,not just a radius difference.

    DSCN0321.JPG DSCN0322.JPG DSCN0326.JPG DSCN0337.JPG last pic,seller bought a SAR body sides a whilst ago,he plans to put together a 3 window himself.

Skills like this developing out of lack of availability are the best thing to happen in years to keep traditional hot rodding alive. Amazing !

    Back in the shop

the seller roughed out a card board pattern of the 3 window upper perimeter so we could take it with us.

Second photo is paper patterning the rear window section of the sedan to check comparison to the 3 window upper rear of door radius, its close!.....close enough to work with.

From there we're thinking of moving the whole rear upper roof to the 'A' pillar and then making a cut line between the rear window top and roof resulting in a 3 window roof and a converted 3 window door frame ,as mentioned above.

Not sure on the roof corner angle to belt line until we have a real 3 window to pattern ,hopefully here shortly.

Just visualizing the puzzle at the min, hoping the above makes some sense to you guys!

thank you all for following, all following is greatly appreciated.

That is a closer radius than I thought it would be. With you're workmanship this will be fun to watch!

I've been wanting to try what you're doing for a while now. I've found a rough tudor that is the perfect candidate for this transformation. I'll definitely be following your thread. Thanks for posting.

Are going to have a top door hinge, or are you just going with the bottom two?

Nice job on the cowl repair. The holesaw removal of the firewall created a lot of work for you.

Hey Jon...Wow, Dante's sure growing up fast! He must be 4 now ?

I like what your doing with the Tudor, and if I can find a suitable '36 Tudor, I'll be snapping it up to do the same.

Look forward to the updates !
