No pictures at this time , but I was the pimp at the pump for years.
    age 8 through 14.

Standard oil training, had us greet the customer with a, *May I fill your fuel tank up today?*.
And to pull the wiper blade up with one hand and clean windshield glass with the other.
Along with never ASK, if you can ,Check that oil for you Mam? we were told to just automatically open the hood and CHECK IT , and SHOW them the stick , even if it DID NOT need any. Of course while in there *under the hood* find a / the bad belt , or paper air filter that needed replacing, with a show them the dust by tapping it (poof dust).
Check, and AIR up the tires automatically . No NEED to tell you (the ones that were there know EXACTLY ) just how many women flirted toward / at you , especially---> *whilst that front windshield was being cleaned* Wink wink.:D

And a case of HEET on the bottom shelf. We sold a crap load of that stuff when the weather got real cold but most of the time it was too late and their lines had already frozen.

  8. Love this thread! It's fun trying to find the locations on google maps and see what they look like today.

:D Hi HRP.Thanks for starting this thread. And thanks to all who took the time and effort to post up the great pics.Reminds me of my uncle CF`s station. He owned a trailer park and the gas station/general store was there for the convinence of the tenants. And of course the locals and tourists.Sure had some neat stuff for sale there.Early version of a modern gas and go.
    Good luck.Have fun.Be safe.

I believe the bomber was removed from the bomber station and used in a restoration of a flying plane.

No, the bomber was moved to a hanger in Salem, OR for its own restoration. The station has been closed for a long time. The restaurant is still there. More at www.B17Alliance.com.

I bought an album full of mostly Phillips gas station pictures. I believe it must have belonged to some one who worked for Phillips in advertising. To post them do they have to have an old car in the picture? Most do but some don't. 66 Station_20170614_0002.jpg
