Is the installed height of the valve springs 1.75 for a BBC? I finally got some springs for my engine but don't know what the correct installed height is for them! Any help would be cool, thanks.

Was there any difference between years or are they all the same?

Those are the later truck 454 heads, 78-87 style, the only spec I have is the 1981 truck manual that says 1-51/64" installed height.

But check the specs that came with the springs....usually hot rod springs want to be installed at 1.88

Shit I got the wrong springs! And they were dual's too. Thanks for the help, I'm just glad I didn't try them on for size.
