I had to get creative this morning while working on my 29 roadster. Turned the flange off of a F1 box and then rebuilt it completely. I'm running a 331 hemi and wanted the engine to sit pretty low in the frame. Header clearance was an issue and I also liked the idea of being able to remove the box easily. I also thought it would be nice to adjust the column angle. Here is what I came up with: pics coming

I turned the box down to 1.875" and used 2 1.875" ID locking split collars. C notched the frame with 2.75" ID pipe that matched the OD of the collars

I might throw an extra plate on that, or two.

Hemis are a tad weighty, and have been known to pull a stump every now and again.

    Otherwise looks great!

I've already made a couple of plates to weld inside and out. The frame is boxed also. Thanks!
