Got another '30 coupe and am about to start dismantling it when I get back from Nashville this weekend. So, let round 2 begin. Already purchased a pair of sedan doors at the LSRU. Allows a deeper chop, likely 5" with the extended doors. Managed to hunt down a '32 Olds dash too. This coupe will not be a recreation of the Gentleman's Coupe but something a lot meaner. One thing I enjoyed on the Gentleman's Coupe was building a car where everything just kinda belonged. The end product was precisely what I had intended when I started out. This was in part due to the likes of Bob Hilton, Tony Lombardi and mikeyseats (does anything with leather, but not in that way!). This will be the same gang on this build also. Looking forward to it.
Will be watching. With that crew involved I know it will be sweet. Can you let out the secret to what might power this ride yet?...........Don.
Don, as of now it is likey to be a 4-71 blown Olds. BUT, I could see something in Nashville and change my mind, who knows!
Yes, it is pretty clean. Needs the usual patch panels. I will be selling just about everything (including the doors) except the body.
Longer sedan doors...longish blown Olds...Inches added up, is the frame plan down? 2" X 4" rectangular tube reshaped, or adding on to the 'A' frame? What's the 'floor plan' like?
Come on down to Winchester and pick through our Swap Meet parts..... Pretty sure we have things you need... Glad to see you're doing another car... Jay
Jay Only just spotted this comment. Many thanks for the offer. We already have the '32 wire wheels, sedan doors, front axle. Frame will be out of Dropped Axle in OH. Let me see what we are in need of and I will reach out to you. Paul
