I would get the trailer fixed ASAP...because it may not be a good idea to fix that at the track.

If you run out of time, you can always put those new fancy carbs on at the track

I did got up a little earlier today.
Took mom to doctor then we went to IHOP for breakfast......after that it was V/C gaskets on an O/T 4x4 that you have to take the upper intake off to do the job.........so I think I earned it.

Thats to tow all the other brands when they're broke... I think my old Ford has pulled damn near every brand there is... and never needed being towed itself...

 

Well, I had a great night testing the 57. Ran my best time yet...

LOL you youngsters pick up the computer stuff pretty quick. Car sound good too.

 

Finished up, wiring the trailer brake controller in my GMC. Since it was so nice out Sunday, I took everything out for a test drive and some towing practice. This was the first time in about 20 years for pulling a loaded trailer. The photos and trailer hubcaps, (1954 Oldsmobile), are courtesy of my Nephew Chuck.

Everything's pretty much ready for The Meltdown. Overall, it tows pretty well. Even with the compromise in gearing.

Just old and busted news!!!!

 

Returned my borrowed carbs a while back,and should have my 750's on there by the beginning of next week.
Having some clutch issues,so the transmission is going to need to come back out,but we're getting closer.
I should have it running and ready for some shakedown passes next week,if all goes well.....But it never has before.lol!

Great question Sgt Grumpy-

On Friday night ANYONE can race. On Saturday we feature the different groups, all of the FED's and pre-selected awesome match races. We are looking for close match ups and good looking cars to put on a show.

It is the best 3 hours of racing you will ever see!
