Anyone know if these guys are still in business? Been trying to contact them for a week, left messages and have not received a return call. Maybe someone had an alternative way to contact them. Thanks.
Contacted Walden , they don't handle his brakes anymore, and I've been calling, left messages, emailed, no response whatsoever, are they still in business?
I'm just thinking-if it's this hard to get a hold of them now, how comfortable will you be after you send them money for an order? I, personally, would look somewhere else.
Also trying to get ahold of this company. Sent two emails and left three voice mail messages over the last three weeks. Does anyone know if they are still taking and fulfilling orders? Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
For heaven's sake WHY? Do you already have your "sent these guys money and never got the parts I ordered" thread already written?
Yelp=1 Star. Multiple sites stating rip offs, nothing positive anywhere on the 'net. Then, there is this from Google: Deuce Manufacturing LLC 297 W Allen Ave, San Dimas, CA Brian Rygiel 1 review 7 months ago This company is a scam. cashed check, received part, disappeared with no contact. Owes this company over $8,000 in cash and parts. Buyer Beware. Owner is a crook. Tony Arme 1 review 7 months ago Owes us parts and money from over 2 years ago D. Petersen 1 review 3 years ago I've been waiting eight (8) months to receive one (1) pair of drilled rear finned brake covers. Paul Carroll has repeatedly told me that he will ship them - but he has not. I called and spoke with Paul on October 12, 2013, he said that he'd email images of his new rear backing-plates to me that afternoon and would call me the following mid-week. I received NO email - and NO call from Paul. Subsequently, Deuce Manufacturing has failed to respond to my telephone messages or email inquiries. I dealt with Paul back when he was manufacturing the Buick drum cover/Wilwood brake kits for So-Cal and also selling them privately under the name Functional Fakes. Never dealt with a poorer business man, he promised a lot and delivered nothing. That's when I started working with So-Cal to get their brakes direct from them and let them deal with Paul. Eventually led to So-Cal making their own brakes which are a better quality than Paul's. I never let Paul get into my wallet!
Nope, just doing my due diligence. I'll be placing my order with So-Cal Speed Shop tomorrow. Thanks for sharing the Yelp and Google info.
Paul has quite an interesting take on that story on his web page: http://hotrodbrakeco.com/our-story/
That's too bad about Paul being a flake. I actually talked to him on the phone once and he seemed reasonable enough. I was considering one of his brake kits but in the end decided on the Lincoln drum brake kit from MT products. Glad I did. It's too bad some of these guys with brilliant ideas in creating parts are such failures in business and life too sometimes. Another one that comes to mind is Steve Sellers.
