People can get set up Friday night and even do some test and tune. We have our own parking area reserved.

I think they open at 9 am Saturday.

    It is gonna be fun!

Where is the reserved parking...on the blacktop or in the grass?

It is the whole new pavement section they put in. We will be able to park our trucks and trailers in the grass and have all the cars on display on the pavement.

I did have to stand there with a cold one and admire it for awhile. Been waiting a long time to get the insert and get it mounted. I've had the car 13 years

Picked up my new pinion yoke,1350 U-joint,and straps today.
Getting them in the car,and getting back after that funky linkage on the 3-4 shift too...
Rear housing is all welded out, axles are back in,and housing is back under the car.
Carbs should be ready in a few days.Switched from the 650's to some 390's for better drive ability and fuel economy.Should go well with the 3.50 gear.
Looking to take it down the street and see how the new neighbours like it in a week or so...
    :)

A 3.50 gear with 28" tall tire will be 5250 rpm @ 125 mph.

Do you have a deeper set for drag racing?

Don't make me burn up my old drum brakes, trying to make it look like a race.:p

Using them up all ready going down the hill I went over.

This could very well be the best car update yet. Sounds like the news on the tele. All complete bull shit. It's perfect.

The funniest part is,it DOES have a 3.50 gear in it....but the 1st gear in that Doug Nash is a 3.50 ratio also, not the usual 3.27 ratio.
Also, the 4th gear is 1.33 ratio,so with the 3.50 gear in the 9",and the 1.33 ratio 4th gear in the Nash Trans,my final drive ratio is 4.66:1.
Part of the reason I went with the Nash, was so I could gear it like this, and leave the 1:1 5th gear for driving to and from the track when I'm at home and running at the two tracks that are within 45 minutes of the house.

    Also,I am at least partly a big,fat,liar.....We swapped out the 650cfm carbs...for 750's.
Once I get this shifter issue straightened out,and take care of this clutch issue, things are going to be very close to ready.:)

Almost forgot: I scored a trailer last weekend,so we won't be U-Haul-ing it to the track any more.
Needs a bit of work,so the budget may take a beating:(
