Wish i could find some sub rails as good as the one you have.

  2. All the rear bling now fitted and ready, just need to give my trusty Center Door a good old clean and off we go.

  3. It's been a long time since I updated my progress on 26 COOP. I decided not to chop it (after receiving more NOs than Yes's on this thread) and am moving along well. I hope to have it running down the road so I can take it to my 55th high school reunion in September. Almost all components are done and about ready to remove the body to finish and paint it and work on the frame finishing.

I mocked up a seat and found room for the third pedal next to the TKO500:

I'll be posting progress pics more often. I promise......

If you need some good cross channels, both of the t's in my shop now have had them removed for dropped floor pans. The subrails in both of the roadsters were damn near perfect before I cut them all up

  6. Of perhaps some interest to other builders, I have been working on the headlights on 26 COOP. I really want to make them work for it, 'cause I think they look cool. It turns out they are '34 or '35 Chevrolet Master Deluxe lights. Know how I found out?....I dropped one and broke the lens! Then I found a Chevy marking and started to look for a matching lens. Found one on eBay and another pair on another site. Bought all three.

Then it came to the reflectors. They are silver plated brass and, except for some of the silver plating missing, were in good polished condition. After some research, I found caswellplating.com and bought a silver plating kit.

IT WORKED! It took about an hour. Washed the reflectors with Barkeepers Friend. Then did the plating, followed by polishing with Never Dull and finally waxing:

20170419_171022.jpeg Neat kit and cost around $50. Keep it in the back of your mind if you ever need one.

Good on you JW! I just clicked over 13K kms on mine. I even had to buy some new front tyres! Too much driving it like I stole it!

  9. Good to see you are getting some good fun for your efforts Wade, if you head down this way again let me know.
Finished all the new brake lines and fitted all the brackets etc on the RPU's chassis and when I have repainted the axles they will be mounted soon. JW

  17. Finally managed to spend enough time on the Coupe to get her rolling. Went for a quick spin round the village under stock A banger power - the B engine is still away for machining.

  23. Still making slow but steady progress on my RPU rebuild. Just need to go over the front hubs, some line clips and fit the rear drums then a little work under the body and so on. JW
