Does anyone remember anything that used to come in a 12 oz can or so, Dragin Traction or anything like that??? Thanks
I remember a resin like material in a spray can that was supposed to give traction on ice in winter. It actually worked, up to a point. That was around 1970.
You definitely don't want to get that mixed up with your deodorant. There's "Pimp Juice" from the Street Outlaws, 405, Discovery Channel, guys. One of them was selling the stuff. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
A spray bomb of brown tacky stuff you sprayed on your tires if you were stuck. On ice it would give enough traction to get you moving. This was in the days of bias ply tires and snow tires with less traction than a modern radial.
Thanks for all of the info, I'm still looking, thought it was a can you lay down for traction at the drags, I mean a long time ago., late 50's I have a lead from another guy I will follow. I just thought it would be cool to paint a replica of it to my sign outside. Thanks
I had an old can of BX10 for a long time. Strictly a shelf decoration. It eventually rotted through and mullered up the label. Shoulda drained it. Looked kool and felt good just having it.
I remember seeing a can of Moroso "Moose Juice" traction compound in the 70's at one of the speed shops when I was a kid.
General Motors had something like that. Even had a device to mount it on the car to use it from the drivers seat.
BX10 back in the day .... took TWO TENTHS off ET for me .... That is a BUNCH when the chips are down ..... ;-)
