  1. DSC_8924.JPG Whiskey bottle. There's always plenty of them laying around by the end of a build.

RediWhip can after a few minutes with a wire wheel and a shot of clear lacquer. Eat the whip cream first!

  3. I use an old pump style fire extinguisher. Tapped out the squirt nozzle and run a small hose from radiator to extinguisher. Mounted on firewall, not many people realize what I'm using it for.

  5. I have a St. Patrick's Day aluminum Bud Light 16 oz. bottle. It's about 5 years old.
Car and hotrod folks walk past it and pay it no heed. On the other hand, folks that don't know cars spin around, comment, and take pictures of the bottle. Funny to watch all and listen.

I have considered using this old 40mm artillery shell that was re-purposed as a lamp once already.

What about a 60s windshield washer fluid bottle. I think Gm used them. They come with a mounting bracket. 20221103_104639.jpg

I was tossing some garbage away at work a decade ago when I spotted a small fire extinguisher in the trash. One of those that looks like maybe 20 oz. size, and is aluminum. I grabbed it just because I thought it might be of use somewhere on my car?
Got it home and after pulling the lever to ensure it had no pressure, I wrapped it in an old innertube and clamped it in my pipe vise to unscrew the top. Once I got the top off I set the bottle aside, and gutted the mechanism to release the agent, and it left a 1/2" hole in the threaded fitting.
I polished up the outside after removing the label, and then bought a "mineralac" strap for EMT electrical tubing. Mounted it on my radiator support and ran the overflow hoes into it as a catch can. Works great, and looks factory made custom!

Home made. Starting at the bottom...aluminum angle for mounting bracket, 2 hose clamps, scrap piece of 2.5" thick wall aluminum pipe, a piece I cut off of an old barstool, a soft plug (core hole plug to you purists), 2 pieces of 1/4" tubing, and some JB weld.

    Works!.

I think this was originally an A/C receiver/drier canister, built it many years ago, don't recall the application.

I ended up using another Gatorade bottle. It’s out of sight, and does the job.
