Zak is on a D/G Attack! Showed 'em that finale was no fluke! You D/G boys better bring a bigger stick if you wanna take a swing at the Home Grown '57.

Great Job. You have built the car to beat in D/Gas.

  5. Good for you Zak! Looks like Travis - in Born to Boogie had a strong showing too for his first race.

Did they pay you the $100.00 since nobody could take you down ?

The green tint on the windows sharpens your perception of the lights so you cut good ones LOL. :)

All racers need an edge. All others will follow.

Funny story Butch Leal told me. They were at the Winternationals and Ronnie Sox was heading to the staging lanes for the final round. One of his slicks went flat. Someone ran back to the pits and grabbed a jack, slick and lug wrench. They throw it on the car, make the pass and win. They were in such a hurry that they didn't notice it was a different brand of tire until they got back to the pits. Butch said at the next race, there were a few racers noticed it and actually had two different brand of slicks on their cars because they thought it was a Sox &Martin speed secret.... LoL

I ran yellow tint on my old gasser just for that reason. Like shooters glasses it helps with light.

IMG_7003.JPG IMG_6992.JPG Here's a really good picture of the finals, and then my favorite picture I've seen so far of my car, sitting at the line waiting for the track to be cleaned up.

I may have to throw some weight in my Morris Minor Gasser project and run D/Gas. Just to make you make more passes. It would need at least 500 lbs. to make the weight.
