I see you are still puffing smoke out of the right bank.

  7. Yeah smoking less on the right bank and sometimes not smoking - hmmm will try the Racer-X drain hose next ..... made it to the 2nd round and ol Boogieman got me by .100 on the tree and .100 at the stripe. Tried 4 pill changes and found the fastest pill but to be honest I think its driving through the clutch now with the extra HP. I smelled clutch at the top of each run when I shut down to do plug readings.......

    Tom collected good data :)

  15. I didn't get to see much of it but what I saw was great.

Ok - made it back safe - no paint traded - the funny story was - the MAGNETO was super cool and all but if the battery is low and you flood it - at all - your screwed - been getting too many golf cart pull starts. So I put in an MSD 6AL box. So simple! Right? I never even cranked it until time to load the trailer. It would pop and spit and the timing light would only fire once in a while. Then it stopped lighting the light at all. the center plug on the cap was firing like a sewing machine so the spark was going somewhere ...... drilled a bigger hole in the fire wall put in a bigger gromet. Tried 3 other caps and rotors. Finally pushed it on the trailer and took all my spare parts and went to the track.

Jimmy Huff - Ford guru walks up and I tell him all the above. He pulls the cap and spins the rotor by hand - you got the wrong size rotor here cuz - I'm like - I have 3 rotors - he says you got 3 wrong size rotors.

So - I had a Ford ready to run dizzy with a 392 adapter shaft but no tach output. We put that in and bam! Away we go. The only crappy thing is a weekend of racing with no tach. But it was a great time. Never sat down once I don't think. Got to meet a lot a folks I've been wanting to see - some guys from Bakersfield - the WAC Axles guy - lots of MOPAR fans.

Still smoking on the passenger side - some - need to add a drain hose I guess. Boogieman took me out in the 2nd round and he went on to win the whole thing. He stole 1/10th on the tree and 1/10th at the stripe. was a good time. Big kudos to Quain Dee and Greg for cat herding - so many cars now that when the last A/G car goes down, the D/G is pulling into the lanes

  20. there is no windage tray on the first gen hemis. if you want a scraper it has to be built into the pan.

  21. So the first season scraper wouldn't fit the stroker - not even close. I didn't mess with it.

I been looking at how some pro stock pans are made. This flat rail is something I can do - the fingered scraper is a tough deal to make fit the stroker now, maybe on an engine stand ....

Hot heads has this - not sure it will clear the @TR Waters girdle.

If you can't win, pop a wheelie and look cool in the pits as I always say
    Lots of pics here :

This is a 2nd gear wheelie and it went left - maybe I need to lower the right bar some ?

And then Miss Kim trying to spook Boogie Man - it almost worked ......

  22. I don't know - too much show? We are supposed to pull a 12" wheelie. I can put the bars on the track to try to win ..... just sayin

  23. I use a pan built by bob stephans. The windage tray is built into the pan. It can be removed if needed. Dzus fasteners hold it in place. He can make a regular pan or make it with a kick out for use with a titan pump. Its made with a trap door near the pickup area. I can get you his number if you want. They are very reasonable.

If you could be persuaded to pull the engine, you could use a contour gauge or 3 to get a profile for making a crank scraper.

Yeah it seemed like you had your hands full. Quick and Dirty puts on a good show, it's a favorite among the spectators for sure.

Tony, I didn't realize you didn't have a scraper or windage tray in the pan:eek: That may explain why this problem of too much oil on right side is happeningo_O
If/when you pull pan to cut /weld in bung for oil drain from right head, maybe take a little while to make a cardboard template of an oil scraper that will fit before you replace pan:rolleyes: Compare that template with the old scraper you once had in the engine and you may find you can easily modify it to work:confused:
Inother words, live up to the name of the car and do it quick and dirty:cool:
