  6. This whole topic was discussed in a recent issue of Hemmings Classic Car mag. For an entry-level classic car, they have much to offer. From the driver seat forward, it's the same as a 2-door. Most of the cars on the road now are 4-doors.

4 door wagons have been popular for a long time in my book, Its the 4 door sedans that are coming around in popularity more so these days.

  12. I have 3 kids, the oldest is 6. My 40 Tudor sedan was too loud and rough ridding hot rod for them. I sold it and just struck a deal with bobwop for this 56 Buick Super Riviera. I just can't afford a two door in good condition. [IMG][IMG]

Sammy2.JPG Big Buford AMS.jpg I think ALL old cars are cool ! Here's two of mine. 53 Chevy 210 Handyman Wagon daily driver and 53 Chevy 150 Handyman Wagon Weekend Warrior. They both still have totally stock suspension and brakes, drive and handle great. Daily driver is 350 with turbo 350 and the drag wagon is 400 with a turbo 350. View attachment 3522188

Here's one I built to Hard Tire Heads-Up race and does pretty good. Drive it to lunch and parts store sometimes when it has fuel in it ! Won't outrun the 53 Wagon but did make several finals last season. 400 sbc, turbo 350, 4.11 gears. Still tweaking on it. Oh yea it's an early 64 Chevy 2 (four lug car) that I bought 16 years ago. Paid more than twice as much 5 years ago for the Goodmark cowl hood than I originally paid for the car !! Flintstone.JPG

red Nova.jpg red's driveshaft.jpg Here's another of my MorDor's. 65 Chevy2 that I bought 20 years ago. Sat next to the shop as a parts car. Built it teamed up with my cousin that I had built an engine for his pulling truck, pulled it out of the truck and put it in this one and started running it every week at our local track. 383, turbo 350, 4.11 broke rear. I broke the pinion doing a burn-out 2 years ago and haven't got back to it. Shame, shame. Also pic of the driveshaft it slung out. Get back to it when I get the Gasser going.

Here's the latest shot of my 61 Belair. Would love a bubble top 2 door but this old girl has a lot of sentimental meaning to me. [IMG]

Yeah probably could but this old girl has been in my family since 1970 and my Dad and I did a lot of travelling in her. Maybe if I ever win the lottery I just go out and and buy a 2 door. In the meantime I'll just keep cruisin
