I think this qualifies as art. Hap Jones 1940's trophy topper. Waiting eagerly for it to arrive in the mail. About 6 inches long.

    Hey GVG,
Nice motorcycle casting. It reminds me of this one I saw on an old beater roadster parked in a lot. Yours looks like he is going so much faster ! upload_2017-4-28_8-29-29.png

I wait for each Friday to see what is going to be posted and am never disappointed. You artists are so talented that it's humbling. This is a great Friday showing and the day hasn't reached the halfway point yet.

IMG_6454.JPG Finished this one up, this isn't a finished photo as the glaze on top made it nearly impossible to get a shot that didn't have a giant glare on it :/

    Great show this week guys

    Hello,

By this time, my R/C drawings stopped as building and racing these R/C cars took a lot of time and energy. But, as the designs became more custom, so did the painting designs with outlines, pinstriping, and color patterns. The chassis came from factory 4x4 builds with oil shocks, bearings, and custom wheels. But, once the customizing builds ideas from real life took over, changes had to be made. Color wheels and modifying the motor finished the cars.

    Jnaki
The water flame design, the fine pin striping, the multiple layers of thinly coated paint, and detailing around the edges all made up the final shiny paint pattern for this R/C vehicle. (There was even a fine silver line around the pink rims for some highlighting) The motor? Another fast, Reedy high performance motor did its thing.
Art on Lexan. My wife liked this simple design the best, out of all of the R/C cars.
