Grab some of those Tijuana fruity cigars. The little ones, maybe I'll fake smoke it.

Had the neighbors boys come over and help lift the body off. Time for some frame welding than the body goes back on.

Motors out, lots of welding...nothing fancy cuz it's coming apart after the race for a dirt bath and a make over.

I see you raised your front motor mounts up. Was that so you could get oil flow back to the pump??? On My AV8 I am noticing that my engine is not level. It tilts toward the radiator. I would like a slight tilt back toward the trans and I think you just showed me how to do it. Thanks.

I raised the front motor mounts to align the lower water ports. It's much easier to find straight radiator hose than S-curved ones.

The last flathead I did was in a model A coupe, the motor was lower in the frame which made the hoses a huge pain in the ass...so I made sure these ones were level.

Im embarrassed at some of the shortcuts I took in order to make the ROG deadline, sucks that you have to build a new car every year.

I personally can't wait for the race to be over, I'm looking forward to tearing this thing apart to do it right.

Body is back on the frame. I'm spent! My body hurts from working 10 hours hour days on this car.

But it will pay off....so pumped up right now.

Really looks good Pete. So impressed with what you've done, and all in such a short time. It's got me wanting to go to ROG just to see that car in person.

Pete, now that everyone wants it, is it your intentions to sell it? Then you'll start all over again for next years event?

You know....I can't keep up the pace. Building a new car every year has worn me out....only because I feel like it falls on deaf ears with some of the racers that continually run the same car year after year...so I figured why the hell should I build a new one?

I'm really glad I didn't sell the pile of '32 parts because I really like this car...I'll like it more when I pull it apart and do it up right.

  25. When you redo it, it'll be good for next year, right?

Prolly would. I play by the rules tho, so
I'll build something else. I have a 27 T roadster body that was an old race car in the 50's...I'm thinking a down and dirty crash up derby type racer.
