In just under 2 months the hot rod faithful will blaze a trail to Dubuque, IA for the 8th annual Vintage Torque Fest. Over the years this event has continually drawn some of the finest hot rods, customs, and vintage cycles. It's held at the sprawling Dubuque Fairgrounds where the dirt track comes to life with vintage flat track racers, hot rods, minibikes, and customs.
*New in 2017 will be Dirt Track Drag Racing. Enter your car and see if you have what it takes to take home the purse.

Throughout the day there are multiple Live Bands performing throughout the fairgrounds.

The Tin Butchers C.C. organize and manage an outstanding Swap Meet.

The Pin Up Contest Saturday is a must see.

Some of the nations greatest Hot Rod Artists attend and have their rad creations available for purchase.

The Hot Rod Art Auction raises money for the Helping Hannah's Heart Foundation. This charity provides assistance to families who are dealing with the financial burden that comes from having a child with Congenital Heart Defects

Some of our fellow HAMBers will be on-site with their Louver Press. Bring your panels and get punched! Or, purchase some pre-punched panels.

This is not your typical car show, it's a Traditional Hot Rod & Custom Event! So pull that hot rod out of hibernation and beat a path to Dubuque!

  4. Wow, 8 years already, time flies....having attended all 8 shows, I have to say this is one of my favorites, so much to take in.
A few Tin Butcher club members handle the Swap Meet , all our time is donated to this great cause.
Set up times for the swap meet will be Thursday from noon til 4PM, Friday from 7AM til 11:30 AM as the show opens to the public at noon on Friday. Saturday set up is only 7AM til 7:30 AM as the show opens at 8 AM.
10' X 20' spots are $40.00. There are some indoor spots, all spaces are first come, first served.
Hope to see a great turnout again this year.

Breakfast will not be happening this year; at least, not openly being planned by me.

Truth is, my work situation has me working on Friday morning at least.

Well, your bride and I can enjoy breakfast without you! But seriously, we need to plan something. I will most likely be staying across the street in the only TRADITIONAL hotel nearby.

Alright. Lets see what I can muster up.

Maybe I'll bring your son. He askes about you all the time.

Outstanding work as always, rusty1! Your contributions to the art auction are always killer and go to such a wonderful cause.

Time to get your thrash on! Last week I changed the oil and greased the zerks. Today I brought the Model A in for a front end alignment. Straight as an arrow now! A little adjustment makes all the difference. A little clean up and all should be ready.

On my way home I drove past this cool old brick building...couldn't resist the photo op.

We'll be heading up early Friday morning from the St Louis area if anyone wants to caravan up there. We're taking my wife's 48. Let's hope the weather is good. Truck.jpg
