Hell I thought you were going to CHOP IT!!!!! Looks like it just got a trim with a little of the sides.
You can always "trim" more later . . . hard to put it back though! This is kind of like a 'landing strip trim' - instead of the 'whole monty'. LOL
Flop, just found your thread....and, what a great tutorial. I know guys with great tech skill/welding and metal work but they don't have the 'eye'....and I know some guys that have the 'eye' but not a high level of tech skills (me). You have both...and that makes you an artist. What you are doing is an art.
Still not enough off the top as far as I am concerned. You posted a photo of Toby's 3 window and stated it was going to be like it. Well you are about 3-4 inches short my friend.....If I recall Ken took right at 5&1/2 out of Toby's. This looks to be around 2.5 at the most.
DAM! I am sorry as I have this body and Bens mixed up....So go ahead with this as it will be nice when done. Can't make them all alike...
Having two 32 3w's in you shop at one time is, well like going on a date with two hot chicks. Pics or it didn't happen... keep up the killer work.
They both look great to me! Wish mine was that close. Flop, give me a call when you can. I can't seem to get through. I need to send something to you. 910-289-1245
You 32 guys are something else man lemme tell ya. Being out on a date with two naked hot chicks is not the same as 2 deuces in the shop.
I don't know how I've missed this thread that is 2 1/2 years old, maybe the title, I must have thought Glasscock was a fiberglass body. Read all 8 pages and I'm up to speed now. Great work as usual, nobody has asked, with this 3Window be full fendered? Bob
Making metal magic at it's finest. Very well done! Went to Brookville and took delivery of my 3-window body a couple years back. You have given me some great ideas to improve the quality of some areas on my body. Thanks
Ok, I'm fine with that, but with those kickups and raised rear fender wells it will be one of the lower hiboys out there. Bob
Hey Flop - that looks awesome - great work all around! Should I call Walden now and ensure that he has an insert done in time for you to use for my 5 winder? I'll give him a call - and get that part going.
