The tail light lenses are different on 41 Fords and Mercurys. They are also different on 42-48 Ford and Mercurys.

There is one OEM tail lamp assembly currently on eBay...$159.00 for one ! Maybe time for some custom tail light assemblys .

I saw that earlier today...almost crapped my slacks!!!! I just bought a very nice pair of 41 Merc bezels and have a lead on some glass lenses.

Greetings! Looked at the last series of pictures of your car, what the car needs is longer quarter windows, to do this you will have to lengthen the top between the door post and the deck lid. Or you can stretch the doors a few inches and turn the car into a three window.
