Got the other side of the body sanded down. It's a slow and dirty job!

Got the cap on ....took some careful grinding and filing on the bottom to fit the radius on the quarter panel.

I also fabricated a push bar out of some stainless steel solid round. I'm not sure if I like it or not ...I made it so it is removable.. it fits into a sleeve that is attached to the rear crossmember.

If I didn't say it before I must say now what a great build. The car's soul comes out in the pics more and more. You should be very proud of the build.

  13. Nice work with the gas cap. It's always the tiny details that make a good car into a great one.

I had a little bit of time today and I decided to start on the exhaust. I got a cool set of home made headers awhile back that were on Mike Mondrella's Caddy powered 32 coupe. I bolted them on the motor and cut up a 36 torque tube to use as exhaust extensions under the frame. I'm going to play with the angle that they peek out under the frame..but pretty neat so far I think

I've got something cool to swap it out for when it comes time to clean up the motor and assemble the top end

I've spent the past few weeks getting my Roadster ready for the race of gentlemen Wildwood. Had a blast and I'll be back on the project in the next week or so and will be updating
