Well, I'm diving back in...after selling my chevy a couple of years ago, I really missed it.
I found this dodge truck, mostly orignal/older resto it appears. Going to drive it while I try to do some period correct mods/customizing...

  2. Just stumbled on this, my first project was one of these trucks. And boy I have to say Dodge didn't give you much to work with in the style department... A little inspiration for you, if you have any questions feel free to ask 20151031_162537.jpg

  8. Nice! I just had George setup my Nicson manifold with rebuilt dual carbs and he also converted the stock exhaust manifold to have two outlets. He did an awesome job. He's also a really nice guy with some great stories if you've ever gotten the chance to talk to him.

I had a 57 dodge and sold it 6 or 7 years ago and I still miss it. V8 with push button automatic.

    Hope to see more

  15. Nice work! What did you do to lower it, remove leaves from the springs?

The Merc just looks way too heavy/bulky.

The Merc looks pretty big to me as well. Maybe if it was flipped over, top to bottom...

What about pulling the original up and closer to the box? Too bad you can't find an original rear bumper for the Dodge. They looked much better then the channel iron. Gene

  25. When I first saw that I thought it was a "71 Charger front bumper that was sectioned. Then I thought why not a charger rear bumper with taillights and license plate mounting.

Mopar 8 1/4 3.23 gears, but going to change to 3.55 limited slip for the future... PS had her up near 80 mph the other night with more to go with this tired engine, but the old truck gets a bit funky over 70 mph.
I need new springs shackles bushings etc, have 1 bent rim too....
