This is one reason I won't pay a "restoration shop". I can do crap work on my own, for free, so why pay somebody else to screw up the job? At least I can aspire to doing the work the right way.

I posted a pic. of the handle earlier, and got the pockets welded in today.

Not shaving the handles, just the recess, and the pass. door lock. Kinda hard to understand but there is a clip that holds in the lock that is hidden under the weatherstripping, but had to shave that as well.

Still looks like a Thunderbird, still has the Y block and you are displaying quality workmanship.
    No hate here!!!

I've needed to update this thread and will have to backtrack a little bit. Here is how the car looks as of now, working on all the gaps..

One of the things I did was smooth out the rough casting of the door hinges and get them ready for chrome.

If you are talking about Chevythedoggys post, it's because he's a self centered pos who always has to be the center of attention, unfortunately I've had the displeasure of knowing this person for far too many years... one of those guys that give the hobby a bad name, because of the way he treats people and takes advantage of them. The quality of this build is miles above the pic posted, that car is what this car would have become had it been " completed" by the fist shop. Awesome build! Absolutely nothing to hate here!!

    Thanks guys!

Got the car a little lower tonight with a set of tried and true Aerostar springs. I did take a half a loop of because the first time it wasn't even anywhere where I wanted it. Also had to build new shorter sway bar ends, but not a big deal.
