Worked on headers again last night. Sand blasted passenger header, reassembled it & marked it out. Went back to Driver header & straightened the #6 header tube out. Think it looks better!
Now onto ripping out old sphere style steering system & installing something safer...

DubG and I finally got the rear end all buttoned up today. Except for the slapper bars. But that shouldn't be to hard. The street tires are the ones we have been running. Calling to order slicks Monday morning. 9.0" 28.5 tall on a 8" rim.

Out with the old Sphere style 1955 steering box, column & wheel! Going to try Flaming River 67-70 mustang box & I-Did-It steering column. I anything it should be safer!

This lower end is a 12000 mile used up 460 inch W motor that I am trying to make some upgrades on for the new season.
It is going to get a hone job some new rings cam and heads.
Then I hope it stays together.

hey Scott, this has bitten you pretty badly the last couple years... you need to get back in the garage, like now!

We all know that the calendar days go by faster and faster as we approach that third weekend of July!

 

Starting a new job on the 10th,moving on the 13th,and,unfortunately,taking this guy to be put down in an hour and a half.

No makey with the fixy til we get into the new place.Too much shit going on.
