Looks like a smart son you got there.

  5. Love the one-year only style of the 60s. I particularly like the 2 door wagons and post cars like your son's Fairlane - great choice!

Very nice. Kind of the look he is going after. He has been stripping the paint off. The only filler in it is a small amount in the rockers. And the bottoms of the front fenders need work

Very nice car to start with. This "one-year-only" body style is very cool on it's own. It doesn't take much to turn it into a rare, sweet, daily-driver-head-turner.

The pick that Jalopy Joker shared above is a spot-on-perfect version of what can be done with just a little work, and a smooth vision of what your son wants to do.

As a general statement it takes more than paint job to make a car a custom. Kirk Jones car is awesome. Did Kirk graft the Starliner roof on?

Those cars don't need a lot of mods, just slicked up a bit with shiny paint and a proper wheel and tire combo.

  28. Yes, Kirk's "May Cause Dangerous" is a 1960 Starliner. Top is stock.
