Im bummed out! My deck lid skin arrived yesterday, I was so pumped because now I was going to finally fit everything in the rear. Well I opened the box and it was damaged. The seller said to file a claim with UPS .... this is a compound curve so I'm not sure it's going to be easy to simply straighten it out.
Louvers will hide that plenty good man! Pony Boy wasn't so tuff lookin without all that grease in his hair. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Bummer about your deck lid, but straightening it out will be less painful than filing a claim with UPS!!
Shrink the bottom edge, should come back easy enough. Happy birthday! Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Not always. Odd, that they said for you to file a claim. When shipped with insurance, and delivered to my buyer, broken. I had to file the claim. I was reimbursed and figured they would pick up the part. They didn't. A hundred dollar headlight bucket in pieces, probably isn't as important. He kept the broken part, and I got paid, to credit him. Two weeks. Be cool, if you get a free decklid skin. Bent ? Not a rusted pos .... winning again, Pete !!
It's not super big deal but that is the reason I purchased a new...so I wouldn't have to to monkey around with the super crappy one I already have.
I agree with you. I buy a panel to save the time and labor . Just about every panel I have ever bought was delivered with damage I had to repair. Most due to rough handling by indifferent UPS/ USPS personnel. Joe
@toreadorxlt ??? <shoulder shrug> .... no clue actually, Just comparing the size of Texas, to the NH Mass driving area. Beer wooing helps this suggested commute. Need address for my donation sixers. Lone Star Beer ready to ship ! Pearl Beer too. Probably arrive cold with your weather.
Just kidding. I can fix the lid, just making the point that I didn't want to spend time on every single piece of the car.
.... but you have to. Nobody wanted it. Lol I'm sorry. I'll put my chair in the back of the class, and leave you alone for a bit, sir. Maybe the hallway ?
Hi Pete. I think the seller will have to fill out the claim. He has all the paperwork and the claim has to be filed with the office that took it in. You should send the seller pictures of the box and the skin that show the damage. No damage on the outside is the box and it may be a hard sell to the ins co.
