There is some one recasting and selling these here on the H.A.M.B. There was a thread about them about 3 weeks ago under the term "orchard posts".

  4. It will be interesting to see if anyone knows the history of those particular posts.

As for repops, Williamson's are nice looking units, they are aluminum though, not bronze or brass.

Bert's Model A Parts in Denver sells some cast brass ones from time to time as a production run is made. I've got a set of those, pretty nice pieces, though not as nice looking, or plating ready, as the bronze ones at the start of this thread.

The 28-29 folding posts were a hot accessory. Reproductions of the original era posts and stanchions with original styled knurled edge knobs were made by Specialized Auto Parts and hundreds and hundreds of sets were sold during the 70s-80s-90s.
Many aftermarket companies made these as well during the 30s-40s.

  9. He apparently owns that very righteous Black '29 Roadster as well.:D

  10. haha I get what you're saying, but I don't think he's claiming he does though. That picture has the tag "Posts on a car" not 'posts on my car'. I think he's just trying to illustrate his product.

  11. .....................Actually, I think he had the car for sale in the HAMB classifieds a while back. Don't know if it ever sold or not though. I kept going back and looking at it but it was out of my meager price range.:(

  12. Ah, I understand. Maybe he is the owner then!

I have a set of original Eaton folding stations from the '30's. I'll post a picture of them.

And let me know if you'd like to let them go. If they're for a 28/29, I'd be interested. :D

Has anyone here actually used the post that John Lee Williams sells. If so how good are they and are you happy with them?
