New engine should arrive this week! Priming the car again next week then off to paint on the 25th and 26th. Then reassembly!

 

Norb you have some big domes sticking up on those pistons mine are the opposite and are way below the surface so just remember that when I cram all that space in there with more air and fuel mixture than belongs there with my cragar belt drive air cleaner it will pack a hell of a punch and make more power than that little space you have lol

Mine came from the same dumpster so you know if he is tossing it out it must be bad lol or he has a secret weapon he is not tells no us about

 

The owner of the dumpster seems like a legit dude. I trust him. I'm certain he's got plenty of secrets he's keeping close to the vest. However I think he's very happy in paying it forward to those that show high interest in this hobby.

Hey I was just trying to be a nice guy.

 

Been awhile but the ol' Grape is starting to come back into shape !!!!!

 

Got the Cleveland Intake back tonight from getting powder coated, all the runners were taped off so no powder coat got on inside runners. Jon Tomkins went thru the Edelbrock carbs for me. I bolted it all together tonight, can't wait to see it on motor!
Also started stubbing out Cleveland Exhaust flanges too.

Only update here was that I missed the UPS guy and didn't get my cam.
But I am working on a date to get my new used engine.

Salty what can I tell you, got tired of waiting for my trans. Went and got it on Monday, came in 4 boxes. There is enough information out there to rebuild it so I will give it a try, If I fail I will have to pay some one who can get it done in a timely fashion.

 

I may have one in the shed.
If you want I can freshen it up for you.

Jeff can we have a dumpster engine shoot out?

 

Would the Champion be the one that builds the best engine FROM the dumpster or the one that tossed the best parts INTO the dumpster?

 

Maybe a Tunnel Rama shoot out too.

 

May have to put an index in it....I will wait but not for long...have a itchy trigger foot.
