I sold it to a guy in Northern Wisconsin. I heard he had it up for sale since he bought it.

I'd say for long doors it's not so much the color(although) red doesn't help that makes the ass big, but long doors NEED to be chopped. The cars already disproportionate due to the rear roof line jutting skyward!

  13. In order to bring this thread to the top I've dug out this pic from a few years back. I don't know anything about it or the owner as I discovered it being "finessed" at Ramsay's Rod Shop.

  16. I like your tastes lbcd! Very clean car! Looks like it has that California rake to it too. ..And some serious offset on the rear wheels. Nifty car!

Thanks Dave! I believe the car was in England and sat much lower in the front possibly due to it's tire sizes. I dug a bit deeper and I'm pretty sure it ended up in Sweden...it was tweeked a bit with new tires and what a difference! It sits just about perfect...louvers on the hood and those rectangular mirrors are cool!

I'm still trying to figure what that stupid noise is in the rear area, sounds like a bearing and I've discovered the steering gets a little wonky at speed. Time to fix that...

The 283 sounds good though: https://www.instagram.com/p/BS4wZYagx84/

The heater was an option in 48 called fresh air heater, when I got the car ( about 10 years ago ) it had no squirrel
cage ( a square hole in firewall ) o_O Went to car shows about 5 years looking for what I thought would be a 90 degree elbow to mate up with the scoop ducting under the hood . ( the scoop in hood grabs air in front of radiator )

Responded to an add in Minnesota Street Rod mag. where a guy had three 48 fords for sale to make one with extra parts. Turns out he had a 90 degree squirrel cage.
( note: found that a 12 volt motor and fan from a 69 Javelin fit in this cage
The front seat is a rear seat o_O from about a 1985 Dodge/ Plymouth mini van
( kept the quick release ) system to remove for removing battery ( now in floor ) and servicing master cylinder.

Recovered the Van seat with same pleated material as rear was when I got the car.
( rear looks to be recovered stock seat. )
