Art & Inspiration Sitting and Rotting.............picture thread

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Royalshifter, Jan 31, 2009.

  1. Finally, after years of following and enjoying this thread, I can contribute.
There's an abandoned garage not far from me and it's on a busy road. Everyone knows it and have been watching it slowly being consumed by Mother Nature over the last 40 years or so. Well, today on the hunch that there might be more to find, me and my son came up trumps.

    Time for a rescue mission.

  4. That old stud has been hiding in plain site for ever. Its only about 20 or so, miles south of me. Thousands of people see it every day. I don't know the story on it. Here is a an old Chevrolet pickup that needs saved. That XKE is very sad. Ron... 042.jpg

Interesting addition to the front of the frame rails. Any guesses as to extension or crash repair?

The body on this little Falcon looks like it is still in pretty nice shape. This would be a fun car to bring back from the dead.

I thought so too, so I bought it. Outside of some floor pan work, it's very solid, and an original V8 car. Tri-Y headers, 4100 carb, and all the trim missing are in the trunk, along with 4 grilles. It was last run with a 351 4spd back in early 70s 20170225_113705.jpg

  19. It looks like someone dismembered it and left it to die in the woods.

Well, that's one way to hold up the shelves, I guess.

Hopefully it was cannibalized for the greater good. For now, it's out of the weather....

That's too bad about that Vette. I could used those steering wheel hub parts from that steering column...crap.

  26. Isn't the Corvair steering column/hub the same or similar to the early Corvette?
