Need pics anyone 8.20 - 15 Radirs on 15 x 6 Rims? Want to see how much bulge there is.
    Thanks

  2. I don't have pics but i have seen it done, I would look for some 7 inch wheels, 6 inchers will make the tread area bow a bit and wear right down the middle.

These wheels and tires were already installed when I bought the car. I think they are 15x6 fronts and 15x7 rears. The front tires are 7:10x15 and the rears are 8:20x15's. They are Firestone bias ply purchased from Speedway. I will get you some bulge pictures when I go home for lunch. Though not specifically what you asked for, it might help. -27.jpg Sam

These are 8.20 radir slicks on 15 x 7 wheels. I bet 6's would work but these are bulging quite a bit on 7's[IMG][IMG][IMG]

O.K., I talked to my friend(the previous owner) and he is sure that he purchased 15x16's for both front and rear for clearance issues. The bands and offset on the front and rear wheels look identical. From what I can tell there is about 3/3 inch of bulge (inside and outside on the 820x15 rears. Here are the cell phone pictures I took today. The first is a shot of the 710x15 front and then two shots of the 820x15 rear. I'm sorry I thought you were talking 8.20 slicks. the 8.20 regular tread tires work great on 6 inch wheels

I wrote originally I was interested in seeing the 8.20 15 Radirs (cheater slicks) on a 15 x 6 rim, any rim. I want to see if they are obscenely bulged. I have not seen a rim designated as an 8.20 - 15

    Thanks

The tread width is almost 9 inches and the section width is 11. Quite a bit of bulge with 7 inch rims [IMG]

  17. Joe (Capps), the good news is, if that's on a 7 I doubt the tread will be rounded as mentioned with a 6" rim. So, theoretically it should retain the square look on a 6" rim.

I'm pretty sure that is THE coolest 40 Ford I've ever seen. Perfect wheel/tire, perfect stance. Thanks a lot for the pics of the 8.20 radirs on 7's I'm planning on the same combo and im gonna be cuttin' it close. Very helpful thank you.
