As most of you know,.... I usually post pictures "In The Still of The Night" from Autorama,.... I thought instead. (as there are already several picture threads started) Just post your SINGLE favorite picture from Detroit Autorama 2017....

I have written about it many years, And how I see it... However this picture will give you insight of how I see Autorama,.... In the Witching hours, When the shadows get long, the echoes get loud. As the ghosts of Autoramas long ago fill the isles,... and come out to play,......

  7. There's just to many "favorites" to pick just one ... but out of all the "Great 8" Ridler contender pics I've seen, this photo by C.J. Holt is probably my favorite ... as it exemplifies the idiom "a picture is worth thousand words":

    GPT (0).jpg

The “GPT” ’32 Ford Tudor built by Johnson’s Hot Rod Shop of Gadsden, AL is the latest creation for George Poteet, a name many of you will recognize. He’s an avid collector and is always building the next greatest thing, this time it’s this amazing 1932 Ford Tudor.

Starting off with concepts from E Black Design (@Blackie), and Eric Brockmeyer, the panels of the sedan were meticulously massaged, chopped and proportioned before applying several coats of deep PPG black. The minimalistic interior with its wooden plank floor, more PPG-finished and leather wrapped panels are exquisite and don’t take away from the vintage feel. In keeping with the less is more theme, the engine compartment includes a host of modern, vintage looking pieces atop the Keith Dorton-prepped Ford Y-block V8. A custom JHRS chassis, billet firewall, bins full of JHRS parts with a coating by Jon Wright’s Custom Chrome and gold anodized Halibrand wheels finish off this spectacular ’32.

  15. I was chosen as the recipient of that award and am honored to have it. This was the car I won it with. It's known as the ElDorodder and was a never finished car from the late 50's. All of the lead work on this car, including the rear fenders, front fenders and running boards, was originally done in 1958.

Credit to BossMustang for this photo. It's the Madame X Cadillac built by Foose for Wes Rydel. He started with a 4-door sedan and turned it into a 2-door with a removable top. foose_cad.jpg

You nailed it Harms, that was my favorite as well. Enough so that I took a couple different versions to download and use as wallpaper. Within all there was to see was that image and worth the price of admission. And Dave's good people too. Always enjoy a 'hello' from that camp.
