All of this stuff was thrown out and I grabbed it just to preserve it. It would've been a shame to see it go to a landfill.

Whole pile of training records from the 50's and 60's

Complete box of training films from the same era

Not sure if you guys will care about this, but it's the coolest piece IMO.

Performance binder from 1969 with a letter stating that it was sent only to select dealers.

This is just a sampling. This binder is FULL of Model specs, dealer info, accessories, how to set up a booth at a show, Cobra catalogue with order form. It was a blast reading through it.

I believe the guy died and his place was just tossed into a dumpster. Wish I could've investigated further. Who KNOWS what kind of treasure was in there?

And you'd be AMAZED at what certain print items will bring at auction, if enough people want them. Called "ephemera"; the manuals and brochures etc. Not saying that's the case here, but you never know.

Already had a couple people want to buy this stuff. It's too cool to sell unless it were really worth something. Especially that Ford Binder. I wonder just how long it's been since it'd been opened before I found it. It's obviously not been looked through much.

My gramps was a pottery salesman. Red Wing pottery. I had his salesman's notebook, full of price lists, some advertising color slides, and other "ephemera". It was cool, but I had no use for it. Got $2500.00 for it. I see some stuff there, to the right buyer, it would get some interest. A clean original owners manual for certain cars, is worth more than the car almost, know what I mean? Money ain't everything.. but it's way ahead of whatever is in second place...

Kind of the same here. Got a bunch of those Chrysler films at an estate sale. !965 I think. Sold them at a swap meet. Would have liked to look at them. But didn't have anything to view them on.

Nice. That's pretty good for an old notebook. Crazy what some people will pay for things. $2500 would be enough for me to redo the rear suspension on my current (not H.A.M.B. Material) project... lol

Well that's the thing, won't really know till they get put up for sale. Depends on how common or, how many of those are left. Maybe somebody could make a nice side deal selling quality reproductions, I dunno thinking outloud. To the right guy you could get a few C notes out of some of those, I'd think, maybe more. Collectors are a strange breed, and the market is always changing.

You know? I wasn't really looking to sell this stuff, but maybe I'll look into it.

Last thing I found is a Pontiac binder. It's really cool but got wet at some point. A lot of the pages are stuck together.

I'd really like to see the instructions in the Pontiac sales literature on "How to sell to women".

I was going to mention that before I sidetracked, ha ha. I think those canisters are filmstrips right? Should be some totally inappropriate material there, fer shure. LOL

Yeah, one of the films is about selling to women as well. I don't have any way to view them either, but that's how it's labeled.

Filmstrip projectors were a staple of grade school when I was growing up. They usually sync'd up with a phonograph if I remember right, and I might not. I bet you could find one cheap.

Easels huh? The forum has changed a LOT since the last time I was on. There's an old thread of mine somewhere where we put an E475 in a Model A.

    Hey, HHG;
If you want to start a feeding frenzy on the ford binder n films/etc, get hold of the SAAC group. (SAAC = Shelby American Automobile Club). There's a lot of ford fiends (serious collectors) there, that collect anything Shelby related. & a lot of them have stupid $$$, & are willing to part w/it. Although they will tell you different... :D .
    FWIW.
