Good stuff 56, its great to see tech ideas used. This car has a dressed down feel to it and reminds me of something that might have been used at the lakes or flats for shuttling and getting around...;)

  3. Thank you Stogy yeah I am going for a basic hot rod look nothing over the top and making as much as I am able to. I appreciate your comments. Hobo Jim

    Dayuum...
Thats wildly unique @AULIZ . Great stuff. Your former Hotrod is a beauty. You guys really have a high caliber of understanding of period build over there...;)...and after reading your bio many have trailers too...:D

Your louvers are similar to the style of louver @HomemadeHardtop57 (Jerry) does...

Thanks for sharing that with us.

I bumped your pics up to fullsize and posted your other roadster...Nice....

Aulis, what are you up to since its departure? Curious minds want to know...

  17. Found this F-100 hood at the local swap meet some years back...had the angled rows. I had to have it at $35.

Super deal on the hood Rocky...perhaps a Larry Watson style graphic or flames is in the forseeable future?

  25. check this cool panel out. came off a 54 mg tf. the louvers have been punched on both sides creating a large louver. i have never seen this done before.
does any one know if it was done in a giant press all at once? can this be done with a normal press? DSCF0001.JPG DSCF0002.JPG DSCF0003.JPG

33 that makes my eyes go funny...:D

I am going out on a limb and saying it is a double struck type affair which you have eluded with a set of die and 2 molds(one with a raised louver the help align when punching the 2nd). I'd say sure why not...neato

Some of the louver techies may chime in and shed some light on them.

I just want to take a moment to promote some of the other threads relating to the one I have posted in respect to louvers...Each are slightly different...all good. Sometimes I feel like I was in diapers when this site started...So many of you have input so much interesting stuff.

When scoping out pics so many of them lead right here...
