So, what did everyone think of Larry's tribute to customs of the past? He put a lot of hard work into it!
I've followed it start to finish, lots of hours involved, and he is such a humble guy! Proud to know him!! We camped at a show, and been to some of our club parties. I've been to his open house parties at his shop. This was his Caddy/camper set up!
You asked, I'll answer. It's incredibly similiar to one of the ugliest show cars in the history of auto design. But, that's just my opinion. Remember, answers were solicited.
I never like the original I and can't say I care for the tribute version. I do appreciate all the work involved but not my cup of tea.
I think it is a vision that is out of this world...like a dream in a world somewhat like the Jetsons that has been sculpted for a trip to planet earth. Once it gets up to speed the wheels retract and you have lift off... with that white carpeted base rippling like a flag underneath wherever it goes. Not to mention the styling cues that were gleaned from these functional works of art and put into production vehicles in everyday life...It may have been a bit of give and take but still there were connections. If creations like this were not preserved and or restored the connections might be lost. Love the display. Voodoo Larry and those involved really left no stones unturned. I congratulate them. Thanks @von zipper
I too can appreciate the huge amount of work and $ that would go into a project like this. Won't knock it, just say it isn't my cup of tea either. But a great piece of advertising of what he is capable of doing.
Can't wait to see it next weekend. I've seen build pictures on here somewhere and I think it's an incredible build. To dramatically change a vehicle like that takes some skill beyond blood and sweat even if it's duplicated.
this from voodoo larry on his facebook page Well my brothers n sisters,...Detroit was a bust,...Sahara didn't place....and also Ed Tillrock III s Sinister 8 didn't eather..... Oh well, it is what it is....guess their still not ready for full Kustoms here..... VooDoo
