Ok Ryan first let me say I have sat infront of the computer screen editing 10 hours into 30 minutes, with music.

Your transitions with the 'film' we good, but trying to keep the movement going to the singing highpoints during the black and white was a bit jumpy and to quick, the brain barely had time to register the image.

The drone shots were excellent and made the movie, I like showing the 'old' car and the 'new' young artists.

The jump to the half tone color was fun, but I am not a rap fan, even if the lyrics are good and 'talk' about struggle and images.

Be careful of trying too hard and mixing too many styles.

In finishing this, the piece was and is EXCELLANT, it is a step WAY beyond the Rock-a-Billy videos that for their time were good, Mad Fabricators and such.

Get a crew, and some advertiser's, together and show a certain shock show (Road ****) what class and style really is.

That was actually by design. Not saying it was good design, but... subliminal in a way.

I am a rap aficionado. I know how to party.

I'm not any good at the video thing. And while I like doing it, it's a lot of work for a short payout in my case... This video was really more of a sidebar than a feature. I spent 90% of my time shooting the car with a still camera and just played around with the drone a bit...

Anyway, the idea behind the half-assed style was kind of the juxtaposition between the urban feel of the graffiti park and the formal stuffiness of the castle. The car kind of merged the two. I think it would have worked better had I spent more time shooting video of the graffiti below. I would have done that, but it's hard to fly a drone when someone is shooting at you.

Killer shots and video, Boss. Also, I see that you were able to edit the turret security counter-measures and replace them with a patio dining set... nice work!! 'Pee Wee' made Google blur those satellite images for a reason, and I'd like to remain on the FOPW list.

Tastefully done car, too bad that parking sign was there, a bit distracting from otherwise good photography.

Please don't post your images and make me look bad.

Funny, we were all commenting on the scene how much we liked the parking sign!

SCTA bans the flying of drones at both El Mirage and SpeedWeek which is too bad as the best 'views' of SpeedWeek thought the years have been the aerials.
I guess I'll just have to build the 'boom' truck.

Again, really good piece, I could tell you had fun..

Cool shots of the 39... but what's the story on that Jeep in the background? Is that the rare '97 model?
(Trump shaped head, eh? I know we both have cool hair?)

Dude that is insane. What a shoot! Shots are gorgeous. Coloring is spot on. Did the car get any damage from the paint balls?

Not to get political here. We don't do that and I'm not making a statement... but it was "shaded" head. You know, cuz of all the orange paint from the paint balls. :)

Very cool Ryan, this really made my morning. I knew by your sneak peak that something killer was in the works, no disappointment.

I thought we talked about this (?). The Jeep doesn't run... rather, climb in, enter the security code into the Craig auto-reverse cassette deck's digital tuner, and then the whole platform drops down two levels and provides access to the wine cellar-slash-leather dungeon.

That is beautiful...totally groovin' on the color! Heck, I even like the realistic 'live action' shots of the photographers...gives it a balanced moment in between all that glorious beauty of that car!....that car really stands out nicely.

  24. wow! man, you guys are lucky you didn't get shot, we are in Texas after all....

  25. Beautiful work! Beautiful car @BLAKE!

  26. Oh man......that was a hilarious story! A most excellent adventure. The drone shots put punctuation on your description of the surroundings. Reminded me of looking out the windows above the Continental Club. Austin rules!

Here are a few photos of the car, one just after we painted the cowl, dash and interior trim. And a couple from down the road from our shop.
