this will be year 67 of the show. located at Cal Expo, 1600 Exposition Blvd. Fri 12-9 Sat 10-9 Sun 10-6 Adult $20 Park $10. rainy time so, the Sat/Sun Drive-In event will likely be smaller than normal. If you go be sure to take pics and post here. I am dealing with a zombie cold now so, not sure if I will go.
I should be there in the early afternoon on Saturday. I will have the wife take pictures, as I am shaky AF these days.
Wild weather day today good for seeing show with fewer people Sent from my SM-G930V using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
My plan is to go in the morning and check it out if I'm lucky ill make the cutoff for the cruise in parking. I am not much of picture taker but I cant wait to see what you guys post.
not sure what year I went - maybe 2003 ?.....walked it with my Uncle Bob......it was cool......y'all have fun....
Thanks for sharing. I had planned on going this year but spent too much going to TROG in Pismo Beach.
The wife and I went Saturday am. Nice show, even had some sprint cars and a couple of boats kinda like in the olden days. The "drive-in" was a little small due to the weather. Had a my annual beignets and coffee, that alone is worth the price of admission. What I didn't see was the AMBR winner and competitors like we've seen in the past?? Did I miss them or didn't they bring them up north for the show? D'Agostino's "Rita" is gorgeous. I've kinda quit taking pictures at events, but I did take a couple shots of the amazing Edsel for Ottoparts (what could be) and Squirrel (what he coulda done) with my new whiz-bang phone but I don't know how to do anything with them but look at them on the phone. I'll get my kid to teach me how to load the pictures tomorrow.
Have to be. The technology that I facilitate the production of is essentially disposable. If I don't keep up, I'm disposable.
Was going to go to the outdoor show with a 40 as I have for the past 10+ years but it was too wet. Wife and I went and saw many nice cars but I didn't take pics because I do a terrible job with my phone! We were on the lookout for a good color for the next 40.
Jalopy Joker... Good thread ! Wish I could get out there one of these years ! Jonnie www.legends.thewwbc.net
