History 1957 Chevy 2 4manifold

    Two things about getting old: 1) You were around when all the neat stuff was going on; 2) You have forgotten half of it! So here's my question: Were the 1957 (55 & 56 for that matter) Chevy 283 2 Four barrel manifolds cast iron or aluminum? I actually had one on a 265 that we put in a '50 Ford, and I can't remember!
    I could Google it but The HAMB is more fun.

    Aluminum 270 HP set up ... WCFB Carters

  6. The one I have is aluminum. Ive never seen a cast iron one.
