I Like them, have had them, do not see them much that I notice. I have a set male/female dies, was always going to make a press for them,. But like Alot of things, just never did get around to it.

Danny, that's because they don't look as good on 4-door orphan sedans that guys are finding on Craig's list these days. Lol

I like louvers but in moderation. Hoods and engine cowls are fine with me but louvered license plates and glove box doors are too much for my liking. Louvers are for function and not for appearance.

Maybe he's right, now that I think about it, these were done in the 90's.

I like them if they're functional and well placed. One of the surest ways to make something uncool is to over due it. o_O

If done tastefully, and serve a purpose, like cooling they look great, however I've seen some cases where they are over done.

When I was in business (Classic Fabrication Inc) I punched 1000s of louvers. It takes a lot of practice time to get them right. Just remember that one "crooked" louver can ruin an expensive piece !

Louvers are not nearly as popular as they used to be. I used to know where to get them locally. Not anymore. If I wanted them, I wouldn't even know where to get them done.

Lol, sorry, wasn't trying to pick on anyone. They are just something that seems to get way overdone.
I like the moto "just because you can, doesn't mean you should". Louvers in any open space around a body is a good example.

I think the popularity has dwindled due to not many places punching the anymore. Myself I've always liked louvers but I don't know anyone around these parts (SC) that does them, Danny do you know anyone?
