  6. Wow. Very cool. I attended that auction and often wondered what happened to that line of 32s. Looks great.

Here is my '50 F1 being rescued from its resting place. Had been parked since about 1970 after my uncle replaced it with a new 1969 GMC. upload_2017-2-17_10-44-31.png

59 Ford I saved almost 22 years ago. I was 14 when I brought her home and 17 when we started cruising. Still own her and she's no trailer queen. Will post some pics of her in the weeds when I saved her.

I mentioned to a friend a few years ago I would like to do a post war Ford sedan. He said I know where one is but I have been on the guy to sell it to me for years but have a go at it. I followed the friends direction and found the car and the guy was in his garage working. I approached him and asked if he would be interested in selling it. He said it had belonged to his late father and he had always wanted to restore it with his sons but the last just went off to college and he had just put up a Fore Sale sign up at the local Post Office. "Right place at the right time".

Really made a lot of work for myself installing the loaded Cad. in it but it is bitchin fun to drive. I actually installed used glasspacks on it and they soon blew out their innards. Eleven and a half to one compression V8 Sounds great coming through straight pipes. I rev. it up leaving the local coffee shop set it die down and yell "i'm thinking of putting loud pipes on it". Yes I LOL.

Well, I gave the guide line of the thread in the first post. The slightly humorous line from AG never crossed my mind. So far, I'm actually surprised at how many cars have been posted. And all are serious labors of love.

I pulled this one out of a field in '95 or '96. This picture is it sitting behind my shop after it's arrival.

Fast forward 10 years, this is how it turned out. Sold it about 4 years ago, still haven't found another Hamb friendly ride but I'm still looking.

Mine was sitting straddling a ditch in a field of sorts full of cars, been there for several years.

After I got it cleaned up and running and driving, still looks like this but getting a heart transplant right now. Will get different wheels and tires later on.

Mine was only in slightly better condition. A person in my office got it from a farmer 4-5 years ago. I traded a some flathead transmission parts for it.

    The day I got it:

Taking "part" of a car and making a car out of it is a process for sure. I built a roadster after finding a decent set of rear 1/4's at a swap meet. 4 years later.............

The body was held together by a strap around the top, and the front cowl "foot" was the only thing keeping it on the frame.
    Nothing a then 19yr old couldn't tackle. Here I am now, 21...

Ignore the Audi, that's my brother's. My truck is much worse. Haha

This is after I got it home. Not in a field, but it sat behind an old stone pump house. Covered with a tarp for 30+years. 002.JPG

Here is another one I did. More of a ditch find, but the ditch was in a field.

If it weren't for "orphans of the field", I'd be screwed! Anytime someone says "you want that old---- I have behind the barn, I'm there like the cavalry!
It's therapeutic bringing them back to life. ( not that I need therapy, haha)
