This is my first hot rod. I bought it as a half done project. Body is a 29 5 window that's been chopped and is all steeled out. It's sitting on a stock 30 chassis and the engine has been rebuilt at some point with lightened flywheel and v8 clutch. [IMG] [IMG][IMG]

The first thing I did was a full rewire using an 8 circuit wiring kit and converted it to 12 negative ground.
I used an old aluminium road sign to make my switch mount. I think it turned out alright.

I got given a stock headlight bar so I cut it up n bent it for my mounts and bought some cheap stainless headlights off eBay.

I decided to paint it machinery grey. We brush painted it to be full traditional. My wife did most of it. I'm happy with it considering the state of the body.

Picked up a dash rail, painted the fuel tank when I had it out, made a floor because it didn't have one when I bought it and used a spare Plymouth speedo.

    Looking great !
And the chop is I'm guessing two " , which looks good on most any style of build . Keep up the momentum .

Nice looking farm country there, I don't reckon the floods a few years back hurt there.

The A was imported a few years ago. The other car is my 50 Plymouth that was factory rhd

    great project, looks mighty fine,
i know things are different down under and it may be the look you want, but from here on the atlantic coast the '30 shell looks a little too tall...
    a chromed '29 stateside shell is about $110... radiators $ ? ? ?...

I've bought a 29 radiator n shell cause I'm not a fan of the 30 being to tall.

buddy did up a fenderless '32 3 window,
he bent and welded on some 3/8" ID steel tubes,[brake line] it followed his taillight bracket's curves down to the base that bolts to the frame, he drilled a hole through his baseplate and the frame and ran the tubes and the coupe's wires through the frame rails...
he did the same behind the taillight, his wires did not show...

Made a new exhaust. Is a little loud to be driving to work in the morning. Will make up a small removable internal baffle.
