History Iso: 30-31 channeled coupe pics

I'm looking for inspiration. preferably equal sized tires and no chop.ch

 

I found these by typing east coast hot rods on Google Images.

My projects, both channeled just over the frame and not chopped
Red one is a 30 built in 72, Black one is a 30 also, being built currently

 

FYI, the tires on this car were 6.50 front and 7.50 rear x 16" Gary

 

Here's mine, 6" channel, 6.70 x 15 on all 4 corners, frame is stepped front & rear.

Looks like you have that on an A chassis and the stock firewall is still in place. How did the Olds fit? Were you running a mechanical or electric fan? Thanks!

 

The frame was stretched 2" in the firewall to grill area. Mechanical fan. Firewall is stock, not cut at all.

 

Excellent, thanks for that info. I planned on pushing the front crossmember ahead 2"-3", so your experience jives with my plans.

 

The late Pete Chapouris'. Not same size tires, but perfect proportions IMHO.
