Projects Jetdoc's 1928 Model A coupe build

    For my 40th birthday I got this coupe to start a project with my sons who are seven and nine. I've been working on hot rods since I was eight years old. Just hit 20 years as a corporate aircraft mechanic. Currently a director of maintenance for a one aircraft operation in Denver. This build will probably take a couple years. I'll be asking questions and for advice because this is the first full build I've done on my own. I'll load the pictures showing what I started with and the progress I've made.

    Some random metal fab fixing the typical model A rot. Cut out the tank and patched the fuel filler.

    Body coming together. Roof that I purchased from Bert's mocked up. Starting to look like a hot rod.

  12. What is important is not only building the coupe, but building it with your sons. That is something they will remember forever.
