Your no stranger to piecing cars together Kev, I've followed pretty much every one of your builds.... I'm always impressed.
I certainly can but they'll be a foot of snow as the back drop....we got a pretty good beating of snow and there's more coming.
Shit you're killing it Pete! Between this and the three window you will definitely have some bitching iron! Great job!!! Sent from my SM-G930R4 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
That sucked! Got the lower portion of the firewall welded back in and filled a bunch of random holes. There was a 3" hole on the passanger side that was made using a drill bit, super jagged and sharp. I cleaned the hole up with a hole saw than filled it. For the most part it's done but I'll monkey with it a little more before it gets mud
Anybody have the lower chunk of a dash they'd like to sell? I really don't want to cut my good stock dash, I'm running an old SW dash panel and Would rather fix and use this chopped up one.
Pete, This is a shot of gasoline ally in Brighton, Ma. in 1947 the row of garages are not in this pic., but are off to the right.
Tommy I'll dig out Nicole's pics of the old shop. If I recall we have a few shoe boxes will undeveloped film and some cool pics. Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Pete I have a lower pickup panel. I'm not using with my 3w top because as you may know they are different curves on the bottom. If you are not using a gauge tunnel and do not nick pick as bad as me this could be adapted. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I had to do a similar repair to my dash. It was only missing a couple of inches of the lower rail, but it was pretty easy to make that piece from scratch. After what you have just been through, it should be a piece of cake
Pete, Your firewall is a rare pre May firewall. Post May the indent was replaced with a rectangular protrusion to increase toe room when clutch was engaged. The cone shaped indent was designed for a never put in production vacuum brake and clutch combo mechanism (Patent # 2104455). Click on link and check out images to see how it would have attached to firewall. http://www.google.st/patents/US2104455
Pete here's two pics I stole from Matt@Eastwood 's thread. He filled a 32 PU dash flat and added a SW in his A. The truck lower curve flows well with this panel if it's the kind you have. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Your dash is an early dash too. It's an "innie". The later production dash had the top bead protrude out. (Not to be confused with truck dashes which were all innies.)
I certainly am learning the ins and outs of 32's as I progrss thru this project. The HAMB family has been a huge help.
