Is that corvair a turbo? Looks like the wheels on the pile behind maybe. 4 bolts slots. Lippy

  2. I don't know. I did't ask much about it. I seen the wheels and thought they looked like old Ansen's. I'm not a big Corvair person. Here are some more interesting photos taken at the same place. 016.jpg 017.jpg 018.jpg 019.jpg

  3. The butchered model a frame is cool, and 36 and 46 front ends and 29 front fender. 022.jpg 020.jpg 021.jpg The 023.jpg 024.jpg building was falling down on itself.

Rescued this one just down the road a few miles. I'd been driving past it for 10+ years, looking at a piece of rusty tin in the trees and wondering what it was. Finally stopped, knocked on the door, and brought it home for free!

If you could make up two doors to fit that opening you have set up in the pic,I think that would be about rite to make something cool out of it.

  11. guess doors we're scrapped in WWII along with a lot of the bodies parts.....looked at a lot of frames with cowl steering this past week....those cowls with chassis's could still be used on and around the farm....

IMG_0549.jpg IMG_0549b.JPG IMG_0554.jpg We drove up to CO last summer to do the trails near Ouray. Saw this old truck on the way to Engineer Pass so we took some pictures of it with our Jeep. The next day in town I saw a post card with a pic of the truck on it. Guess it's been there a while.

  13. Yep. On the farms, those pesky doors always got in the way.

Went golfing this morning in Kelso, Washington. These may be a bit OT with regard to country of origin but the years fits the HAMB criteria

A whole yard of datsun's...and a junk yard dog to guard them.
Which reminds me of a joke one of the guys told today,
What do you get if you cross an insomniac, a dyslectic and an agnostic?
a guy who lies awake at night wondering is there is a dog.

I had to ask permission to take that pic, the owners were quite suspicious of why I'd want to. Since then, they've dragged it back further into the woods and it's sunk up to the running boards. Not for sale!

The big trim on the hood indicates it is a custom cab. Think most are not the custom cab and hard to find. Not sure what all extras they had. Here is standard cab and trim.

Looks like a Tempest to me. A GTO would say it in the grille instead of Pontiac.

Pretty sure that is a '65 LeMans. The Tempest had it's own grille which was anodized aluminum and went the full width, with a painted center triange piece to simulate Pontiac's trademark split grille motif.

Holy damn. That looks like a somewhat old pic, based on the 80's looking Prestone bottle, but still. Wonder how long it sat there like that.

Since we're talking GTOs. 64 389 tripower 4 speed car. This one was abandoned for years and days away from being removed by the local fire dept, who the land had been donated to. I could have had it for free, just for also removing a 48 F1 and 62 Skylark, but the owner showed up last minute and hauled it away.

  24. {It's FUNNY,} I'll knock on the door and ask if I can take a picture of their old car. They usually ask why? I tell them it's my hobby , and I just enjoy taking pictures of abandoned old cars. They just laugh, and sometimes say, that I need to get a life. ha. ha. Here are a few old Willys , I've always liked them, especially the panel version. Ron... 012.jpg 005.jpg 010.jpg
